Breweries selling direct

Counter sales, kegs with a deposit and a till that adds up

For a brewery that also sells itself: bottles and kegs over the counter, with glasses and T-shirts on the side. The cash register takes prices from your price list, stock goes down by itself, and in the evening you know how much should be in the till.

The cash register in the app: counter sales

What can you sell over the counter?

Bottles, cans, kegs and goods other than beer, such as glasses, T-shirts or soft drinks. Prices come from the counter price list including VAT, just as you have them on the board. What is sold comes off stock.

  • A keg is sold as a specific keg, with the number from its label, and the deposit is added to the price
  • A carton or multipack can carry a pack surcharge
  • Each item shows how much of it is in stock

How does the customer pay?

In cash, or by QR code from their banking app. For cash, the register works out the change. Card payments go through your own payment terminal; it is not connected to the app, and the sale is settled in the till as a payment to your account.

  • A receipt to a company when the customer wants one; pick the company from your customer list
  • Above CZK 10,000 the receipt carries the buyer's name
  • A wrong receipt is cancelled and the goods go back to stock

Do kegs and crates come back?

For a returned empty keg the register pays out the deposit; just scan or type the keg number. It pays out the deposit for a returnable crate the same way, whether bought at the counter or from a pub. A publican can also pay an unpaid invoice at the counter.

  • Only empty kegs are returned; an untapped full keg goes back by cancelling the receipt
  • An invoice paid at the counter is recorded against the invoice automatically

Does the till add up in the evening?

The app works out how much should be in the till: sales, deposits paid out, invoice payments, cash from drivers, deposits and withdrawals. The brewer counts the till and closes the day. If it differs, the difference is recorded with a note; nothing is calculated to make it fit.

  • The closing shows QR payments separately, as they go to the account
  • The closing can be downloaded as a PDF with space for a signature
  • Sales by day, a VAT summary and sales by product for the month, also as CSV

What about EET from 2027?

From 1 January 2027 the app sends every cash or QR code payment to the Czech tax authority by itself, from the counter and also the cash the driver collects. It needs a cash-register certificate from DIS+ and the establishment numbers. If EET doesn't respond, sales don't stop and the app sends the sale later.

What does the accountant get?

You download the receipts and till movements for the month as a file for Pohoda, Money S3 or ABRA Flexi. Only receipts from closed days are included. Counter sales are also counted in the excise duty report automatically.

Is it a restaurant till?

No. The cash register is for selling beer and goods over the counter. It doesn't handle tables, guest bills or a kitchen. If you run a restaurant, keep your restaurant till and run the brewery and counter sales here.
