Evening daily summary

Once a day in the evening an e-mail arrives with what happened, where nothing was recorded and what is coming up.

The evening summary is an e-mail for whoever does not open the app during the day. It tells you how the day went without clicking through anything. The figures are right in the text.

What the summary contains

  • Today's production: brews with their wort volume, pitched tanks with the yeast strain, tanks moving between phases and beer packaged in units and litres.
  • Where nothing was recorded today: tanks without a reading today. A missing reading cannot be filled in later and shows in the brew sheet.
  • Coming up: additions, end of fermentation, end of maturation and tanks ready to package. Overdue work is marked as already overdue.
  • Running low: materials below their minimum.
  • Figures for the last 7 days: brewhouse efficiency, total beer losses and vessel utilisation.

The figures cover a week, not a day. Otherwise the yield of a single brew would be one number or none. What cannot be calculated is not filled in, and the summary says how many tanks were left out.

Below the summary is an Open brewery button that takes you into the app.

When it arrives and when it does not

  • The default time is 19:00 local time. Pick a time after the shift ends. Anything later falls into the next day's summary.
  • On days when nothing happened, nothing is sent.
  • Tanks without a reading are not an empty day, though. You always hear about those.

Who receives it

The summary goes to the brewery owner and management. Brewers and operators do not receive it, even if they turn it on.

Settings

  1. Open Settings and the Evening daily summary tile.
  2. Tick Send the evening summary and fill in At.
  3. Click Save. The change applies from the next summary that has not gone out.

The brewer or the owner can turn the summary on and change the time. Under My summary, each recipient can turn it off just for themselves with Send the summary to me. It changes nothing for anyone else.

More detailed figures over a longer period are in production statistics.
