Cellar

Entering measurements by phone

Scan the QR code on the tank, enter the values and it is saved. Under ten seconds, even without signal in the cellar.

Measurements are entered in the operator app on the phone. The whole entry should take under ten seconds.

Where to start

The operator app has four screens at the bottom: Today, Scan, Packaging and Delivery. In the morning, Today shows what needs to be measured, brewed and cleaned today. Under Coming days you also see work worth preparing in advance.

Step by step

  1. Tap Scan a code and point the phone at the tank's QR label.
  2. The app shows what is in the vessel: the batch, the beer and the state of fermentation.
  3. Enter the Temperature (°C) and the Extract (°P). From the falling extract the app follows the fermentation and shows how far it has attenuated.
  4. Save.

Fields are only pre-filled from measurements of the batch that is in the vessel right now, never from the previous one.

An unusual value

If you enter a value outside the usual range, the app asks whether it is really right. If it is, tap Yes, save it. A value that cannot be possible is not accepted. See The app reports an unusual reading for details.

No signal in the cellar

When there is no signal in the cellar, the entry waits on the phone and is sent automatically once the signal is back.

  • The brew sheet records the time you actually measured, not the time the entry was sent.
  • The same entry is never saved twice, even if the phone sends it more than once.

Scanning at the door

If your brewery has a workstation QR label on the brewhouse or cellar door, scanning it shows the work for the vessels in that place. You can still reach every tank without it.
