Troubleshooting
Notifications are not arriving
The most common reasons the phone does not announce, for example, the end of a rest, and how to check with a test notification.
Notifications are turned on separately on each phone. Go through the points below one by one. At the end, check everything with a test notification.
iPhone
- Notifications only work in the app added to the home screen. They do not arrive in an ordinary Safari tab.
- You need iOS 16.4 or newer.
- Open the app with the icon on the home screen. Only there turn on notifications.
How to add the app to the home screen is described in The app on your phone.
Notifications are not turned on
At the bottom of the operator app there is a Turn on notifications button. If you see it, notifications are not on for this phone. Tap it and allow them when the phone asks.
Signing out turns notifications off. After you sign in again, turn them on again.
Notifications are blocked
If the app says Notifications are blocked in your browser, they were refused when the phone asked. They can no longer be allowed from the app. Allow them in the phone's settings for this app.
Checking with a test notification
- Tap Send a test.
- Lock the phone and wait a moment.
- Notification test should appear on the locked phone.
If the test notification arrives, the phone is set up correctly.
What else to check
- A rest notification only comes when a step with a rest is running on brew day.
- The morning reading reminder must be turned on in Settings, see Brewery settings and notifications. If every tank has a reading, nothing is sent.
- If the app says Notifications are not set up on the server yet, get in touch with us.
