Brewing plan and vessel occupancy

The calendar shows which tank is taken when, finds the earliest brew day and flags collisions and missing ingredients in time.

The Schedule screen shows the Vessel occupancy calendar. Each tank has its own row, and the Batches row at the top shows the number of brews per day. You recognise each beer by the colour the brewer set for it in the recipe.

What the calendar shows

  • Solid is recorded occupancy: beer in the tank.
  • Dotted is the estimated release. It comes from the phase length in the recipe, or for a fermenting batch from its falling extract.
  • Dashed is a planned batch. It has two parts: fermentation, and maturation that follows it.
  • Hatched is a tank outage.

At the top are the Earliest brew day, Fits in the next 8 weeks, Vessels occupied today and Plan collisions indicators.

When is the earliest I can brew?

  1. Click Find a slot.
  2. Choose the Recipe and the Earliest from date.
  3. Under Maturation, choose whether the beer matures in the same tank, in another tank (CCT) or in a lager tank.
  4. Click Search.
  5. Click an offered slot. A new batch opens with the recipe, date and tanks filled in. Nothing is booked until you save it.

Moving a batch

Drag a planned batch with the mouse to another day or tank. The whole batch moves, fermentation and maturation together. If the target tank is taken, booked or out of service on those days, the move is not saved and the app tells you why.

Recorded occupancy cannot be dragged. It is the production record.

Flags in the plan

The calendar marks what needs attention. None of it blocks you.

  • not brewed on time: the batch is past its planned day. The app does not move it by itself; you do.
  • plan collision: two batches on the same days in one tank.
  • ingredients missing: stock is shared out in brew-day order, and the earlier batch takes first. Lots that expire before the brew day do not count.
  • sanitation did not happen, ready to package and out of service.

A batch without a tank or brew day is listed under Not on the calendar yet, together with what is missing. Print the plan with Print on A4 landscape.
